Poor writing can ruin good concepts.

Technical experts often need assistance to produce successful reports.

Otherwise, their achievements can be buried under poor grammar,
ambiguity, bad sentence construction and inability to explain concepts.

APP provides services to the Australian Property and Infrastructure industries. We edited and re-wrote more than 70 "case studies" which formed the basis of their website (www.app.com.au/experience).

Reworked Version
Riverside Corporate Park is a complex business initiative, conceived by CSIRO and APP, to transform CSIRO’s North Ryde precinct from a loose grouping of buildings, services and road system, into a structured Business Park.

APP acted as Project Manager and Development Manager, and managed the staged development of the site so that CSIRO divisions were able to gradually move into their new facilities. This also enabled the progressive release of land for sale and redevelopment.

APP helped construct three new buildings for the Division of Building Construction and Engineering, including the "Village” retail complex, with a 25m swimming pool and multi-storey carpark. It also included a new joint facility for CSIRO Molecular Science and Food Science Australia. This $50m project contained heavily serviced laboratories and process bays.

“APP’s endless energy, commitment and hard work over the last 8 years helped secure many of these sales," said George Harley, General Manager, CSIRO Corporate Property. “In a very hard market, this has been much appreciated.”

APP’s hands-on management of all aspects of this impressive project set a new benchmark for all other business and technology parks around Australia.

Riverside Corporate Park is a complex management and business initiative of the CSIRO, conceived by APP and the CSIRO. Acting as Project Manager and Development Manager for Marketing and Sales, APP managed the transformation of CSIRO’s North Ryde precinct from a loose grouping of buildings, services and road system into a structured Business Park. CSIRO retained an interest as the core stakeholder. APP’s project management team managed the staged design and construction of a new road system and utilities infrastructure, servicing properties retained by CSIRO as well as properties released for sale. We devised a staged decanting of CSIRO divisions into new and refurbished facilities to enable the release of land for sale and redevelopment.

APP also project managed the construction of three new buildings for the CSIRO division of Building Construction and Engineering, “The Village” retail complex, including a 25m swimming pool and multi-storey carpark, plus a new joint facility for the CSIRO Molecular Science and Food Science Australia. This $50m project included heavily serviced laboratories and process bays. APP’s hands-on management of all aspects of this impressive project set a new benchmark for all other business and technology parks around Australia. In 2001 APP won the national Property Council Award for Project of the Year.
